We’ve all been told over and over again how
important it is to have 5 servings of fruits
and vegetables every day, and that’s very
good advice for aging backwards. So we’re
going to make a delicious dish that will combine
the fruits and vegetables, and let you have
something really delicious and healthy to
snack on. It’s the aging backwards guacamole.
We talk all the time about how healthy avocado
is. Even though avocado does have fat, it’s
the good kind of fat that’s really good for
your heart. We’ll also use organic vine-ripened
tomatoes. We found out that organic produce
has 40% more antioxidants than conventionally
grown produce. We might put a little bit of
chili pepper in to taste. Chili pepper has
capsaicin, which stimulates our nerve endings,
makes our pulse rate higher, makes us sweat
and releases endorphins, the “feel good” hormones.
Then we’ll also put a little bit of cilantro
in, which is excellent for antioxidants and
will also give it that authentic Mexican flavor.
