Namaste! Welcome to Ruchkar Mejwani with
Archana – Basic Cooking. I will show how to prepare Chana Masala
that we enjoy at a street food joint, at home! Let’s add a tsp of oil. Now, let’s switch the stove on. Do not heat the oil much. Add a tbsp of chilly powder. Next, let’s add gram (black chana) steam cooked
in a pressure cooker, soaked overnight. These are 250 grams of gram.. ..cooked to 4 to 5 whistles of the
pressure cooker. Add some water to it. Just a little bit.. ..and salt to taste. At the street food joint, we can observe that
the vendor is continuously boiling the grams.. ..and when we ask to him to make the
chaat, he takes some out.. ..and gives us with some onion
and tomato added to it. But we cannot keep them boiling
continuously.. ..so, we boil them first
and do the remaining process later. Now, let it come to a boil. After the chana mixture comes to a boil. Water that we added has evaporated. Let’s switch off the stove.. ..and remove them in a bowl. I am adding 2 finely chopped onions. 2 finely chopped tomatoes.. ..and some coriander. Dash of half a lemon. Now, mix it nicely. Let’s serve it now. Chana Masala is ready! Adding chopped raw mango too will
make it taste amazing! If having it as a diet salad,
exclude adding chilly powder to it. To know more such recipes, keep watching.. ..Ruchkar Mejwani with Archana – Basic Cooking.
